We’re slowly getting more options in gay Asian porn, and even more slowly in specific niches. One of those niches is Chinese porn, but that’s exactly what Gayerdar provides, with remarkably solid model choice for anyone particularly into Chinese guys. Production values are also quite high, which is a relatively new thing in this corner of the world for hardcore gay porn, but that’s certainly not a bad thing. Gayerdar is one of quite a few in this new wave of sites coming out of China. It’s been a surprise to us that so many of them have been very high quality. With that said, though, it’s important for us to clearly point out that a lot of these Chinese gay sites are surprisingly expensive; an aspect that Gayerdar doesn’t share. Instead, this site is very reasonable for what it is if you choose a VIP membership, or if you prefer to purchase one-off coin packs, that also works. However, it gets even better than that! These are reality porn videos, so they come with storylines. Those storylines feel pretty great, and they even come with English subtitles! You’ll also find different types of models to enjoy, so whether you like jocks, twinks, or guys with tattoos, you’re definitely covered. One of the big downsides for usability, and for any attempt at counting the collection, is that the videos page isn’t paginated. Instead, you’ll end up clicking the load more button as the page continues to expand downward. We think it’s about 70 videos, as of the time of writing for this review. We’re not sure how often the site updates, either, but the recent videos seem to be coming around every 2 weeks. This is slow, but as long as it stays fairly regular, it should be fine.

Smaller Site, Simpler Features, But Plenty of Hot Reality Content Nonetheless

One of the interesting things about Gayerdar is that it seems to have very little exposure to the wider Western market, meaning few sites have covered it. The built-in site translation works pretty well, but you won’t get translated thumbnails so expect to see some Chinese characters anyway. Some banners also have Chinese mixed in with English. Expect also to find a model index at the top, alongside a news blog. Each video is badged with whether it’s VIP or not and how many coins it costs, alongside watch count, run-time, and of course, that title. The model index is rather unorganized, but when you click through it links to all of that model’s videos and will generally have their height, weight, and often, some photos. Overall, we think it’s fairly useful despite having the potential to be better. There’s one who dresses like a stripper version of certain black-clad superhero character, and has the build to match! Unfortunately we found no videos on his page as of the time of writing for this review. On a positive note, we rather like the dark site design and the banners are fun and well-chosen, with model names sometimes, despite the largely Chinese text. By the way, don’t expect full names for the models here. They instead go by handles, like Leo, DT Dog, Spicy Sontam, and of course, Locked Hunk. Locked Hunk I mentioned earlier, and his apparent level of fitness is truly intense (Who knows if it’s just a well-photographed muscle suit). Ultimately, we think that you’ll find that Gayerdar has a surprising amount of hot content, at least if you enjoy reality porn scenarios in gay porn, and that you’ll find the site fairly easy to get around overall. With reasonable monetization options for the customer, what more can you really ask for in a small, focused, site like this one is?
